Sency.com Keyword Alert Tool Widget

- Sency.com Keyword Alert Tool

Here is a test we did, using the keyword of "flightcheck" which is a preflighting tool for graphic designers and publishers to see what this new content search engine and web site, Sency.com offers in terms of keyword monitoring:

Sency.com Keyword Monitoring offers a customizable widget of sorts, which you see embedded above. It appears to monitor mainly Twitter and other social networking sites to gather and present these results and more from Sency themselves on this below. I would recommend a color-picker on their set-up page, but for the rest, it seems to work. Try it out yourself, kinda neat:

I had email contact with their founder, Evan Britton and he had this to say in answer to some broad questions I posed about what and how Sency works in this expanding search technology field:

"Sency does monitor Twitter, however it has implemented technology showing users Today's most popular links on the real time web for any given keyword...

The real differentiation for Sency is the following:

Sency has also built two widgets for other websites and blogs to publish. The first widget offers content for websites. (http://sency.com/feed.php) The great thing about this widget is that it is completely private labeled so that it flows well with a website. There are also several customization options allowing websites to control keyword, width and height, color, as well as whether or not to display the source. The other widget allows any website or blog to display today’s most popular links for a given keyword. (http://sency.com/linksfeed.php) So, a blog about cooking can display a list of today’s top cooking links. The links automatically update each day allowing a website to have fresh links on their site each day."

Note- if you want links to show up, you need to use Hex Tags and fill in all fields with your desired colors. Here is a basic Hex Code color value list (include the "#" first, black for example, would be: #000000.)
